Dawn made garbled sounds of protest, but her cries were effectively drowned out by Labrador slobber.

When Spike clicked his tongue, Buster released Dawn and obediently trotted to stand at Spike's side.

With a glare, Dawn levered herself up on her elbows. "When you said you were bringing home something chocolate, I didn't expect him."

Spike tossed her a Lindt ball and waited until Dawn popped it in her mouth before whistling. He grinned as Dawn was again flattened, this time by Levi, as the Husky applied himself to the task of retrieving the chocolate.

"Guess who we're babysitting tonight?"

The chocolate Labs, they call me. The Guide Dog Society keeps tempting me with their cuteness, but my guys would use the poor little guy as a chew toy.

LJ hates me. Okay, trying again.

Dog slobber attacks are not to be used as weapons, Spike -- that's uncalled for. But still, dogs! Socute! *misses her dog something awful*

I don't think they should be used as substitutes for chocolate either.

Big slobbery dogs are always fun.

I've had this experience myself -- but still love big dogs.

On an unrelated note, I'd like to have been one of those dogs myself.

I'm not entirely unsurprised by your train of thought.

Didn't think you would be. In fact, I suspect you wrote the story with that general idea in mind.
