Traipsing

Traipsing"Andrew?"

"Mmm..." Andrew answered distractedly as he flipped through the bin's contents.

Rachel followed Andrew as he worked his way along the aisle. "When you asked if I'd come Xmas shopping with you, this isn't what I expected." She was still hoping to find something special for Declán and lurking in the dank basements of comic shops wasn't helping with her plans.

"I'm doing this for Xander. Remember that it was your pet demons who ate his comics."

One more hour, Rachel promised herself, but after that she'd be telling the Retjulls exactly where to find Andrew's Star Wars dolls.

Ah, the damp, silverfish-infested realm of comic book shops. :)

They do tend to have a smell all of their own.

Every time I read one of your Andrew drabbles, I'm gripped with the urge to watch every single Buffy ep that he's in. Seriously. *g*

That's because Andrew is adorable and amusing. You just want to have one as a pet.

Aww, he's finding back issues for Xander. Of course, this is probably only to save his own skin, and I'm sure he's buying stuff for himself at the same time, but still.

He just shouldn't have asked Rachel. That was a miscalculation, and while I'd understand siccing the Retjulls on his Star Wars figures, Andrew doesn't deserve that.

...

How have you made him so adorable even in the midst of his massive irritatingness?

After more than an hour in my sister's company, getting dragged from shop to shop, I start plotting her demise as well. I'm just not a good shopper, although I would be more than happy to troll through comic shops with Andrew.

Maybe it's just because I like him so much. He's easy to get into because I'm way too much of a geek for anyone's sanity.

One of my bosses is still baffled by my I'm blogging this t-shirt, which would be less embarassing if he didn't run a web design company .

Hmmm... I shouldn't admit it, but I was one of those geeks who could get lost for hours at a time in a comic book shop; and it still happens to me, in bookstores.

Same here. I guess this is more of a lesson on learning who not to take with you.

Good point. When I take my kids to the mall, they drop me off at the book store and pick me up when they're done -- works out better for all concerned.
