Toy

ToyGiles ran a hand through his hair. "I trust you can explain this."

Andrew had taken a group of junior Slayers on a field exercise and they'd stumbled onto the opening of a portal.

A fight had ensued and the demons were vanquished, but an overenthusiastic kick had broken the ceremonial talisman. Andrew had grabbed the nearest object and intoned a spell to reseat its power.

Unfortunately, the fight had taken place in a toy store and the Amulet of Dhulin was now a Rubik's Cube. Andrew thought Giles would be more appreciative that it had almost been a Slinky.

I think that's a bonus. Ancient occult powers and a super nerd toy. :D I bet Andrew can solve it in less than 2 minutes.

And not by pulling it apart either.

I'm just picturing the demons trying to instill a nerd toy with the proper gravitas for a hell dimension opening ceremony and failing. Perhaps Andrew is onto something.
