PrioritiesA hideously chirpy voice woke Dawn. "We're the first here!"

"What?" Dawn was not at her most coherent when the sun was yet to rise and she found herself standing in a deserted mall parking lot.

Buffy looked at her sister as if she'd suddenly grown another head. "The sale. It starts today."

Dawn reluctantly took her hands out of her armpits and checked her watch. "The stores won't open for another seven hours. I'm going home." Having already lost sleep to her sister's ridiculous lust for clothes they couldn't afford, Dawn wasn't losing fingers to the cold as well.

*laughs* Three cheers for Dawn!

Thanks. Can't imagine many people would find getting dragged out of bed to enjoy someone else's fixation entertaining.

I love your Dawn/Buffy dynamics.

It's interesting how you see Dawn being one day the more mature of the two...more like her mom, that way. :P

If she wasn't a Slayer, Buffy would be Cordelia, without the chance of maturing.

Heh. It always amazed me how devoted Dawn was to Buffy. I'm glad you made her grow a little.

There are just times you have to take a step back and admit that your sister is a bimbo.

Trust Buffy to think of shoes before anything else. :P

Standing between Buffy and a sale could be life-threatening.

Another seven hours?! Buffy's obsessed! My idea of a shopping spree is a bit more in the mind-expansion realm, like, say, books. Thank the stars I'm not the typical California girl.

Same here. And the upshot is that it's often easier to get hold of books online.
