"Thought you had a great sense of direction." Rose frowned at a tree as they passed.

"What brought that up?"

Rose turned around, nodding towards the tree. "We've been going in circles. I've seen that tree before."

"Ah." The Doctor scanned the tree with his screwdriver. "It's a bit like low budget films and animation where they reuse the backgrounds."

"We're stuck in an episode of Scooby Doo?" Rose looked confused.

"No. When they terra-formed this planet, they did it on the cheap. The trees were clones of a single species. Explains why this is nearly a dead planet."

Even as a kid the cheap Hanna Barbera background and transition scene recycling annoyed the hell out of me.

Although, if you're stuck in an episode of Scooby Doo, you do get to use the line; And I would have got away with it, if it wasn't for those pesky kids.

They stuck in my mind too, and not in a good way.

I love that line -- I've been hoping for a chance to use it in real life, although preferably without getting arrested.
