"What is it about this job that makes knives and swords seem a perfectly reasonable gift?"
"You have noticed what we do for a living, haven't you?" Dawn rolled her eyes.
"I would have thought that we'd try to escape work in our off time."
Rachel snorted, seeing where he'd been angling. "I keep telling you, you're too short for that rapier you've been eyeing. Have you considered getting a chisakatana?"

And hey, i didn't get one single knife or blade as a gift this Xmas. This has to be rectified! Methinks it's time to buy myself something deadly looking. >:P
We scored lots of blades at my house. Picture my partner swinging a katana around the living room being all excited at the swishy noises it makes. I also got a Voodoo knife block. In red.
I've been eyeing off a Cold Steel Small Sword and, possibly, a Paul Chen Wakizashi. The rapiers I was looking at have gorgeous curvy guards, but the handles just aren't quite right and the length of the blades seems to assume you need to be around 2m tall to use one.
Rather good point.
I was staring at a voodoo knife block for when i get a new house, too! Very cool. I've pointed it out to my parents enough times now, so i'm fairly sure i'll get about four come the time.
I can imagine a katana coming in real useful actually, you could chop up the tree after if it's full tang and functional!
And god year, some of those rapier handles are beautiful - like metals been melted and dripped into shape around the handle.
