Movement from the floor of the Hub caught Jack's eye. He returned to his paperwork for a moment before starting and running for the door.

"Put the plate down and back away slowly."

"But she loves it." Gwen grinned over her shoulder.

Jack speed-dialled Ianto. "Get a bucket." He spotted the warning signs as he reached the bottom step and rushed to get Gwen out of the way of the impending explosion.

Gwen winced at the stench of reprocessed Shepherd's pie.

"To achieve optimum flight weight, what goes in, must come out. It's why we feed Myfanwy on the roof."

Well, if that's in the handbook, then I should think that would cover it.

You do realize that I've handed you a major plot bunny involving employee handbooks ... I've mentioned the Slayer's Handbook in passing once or twice in my stories, but never expanded on it.
