Advantage

AdvantageWith the curse of peace looming large on the horizon, it looked like the killing fields of the Great War would soon cease to provide the scavengers that travelled in its wake with an easy source of prey.

"A little bird told me that something nasty is coming."

"Did it now. Best be prepared then shall we, love."

Tents blossomed as emergency hospitals were erected to cope with the influx of victims from the influenza pandemic.

The pale nun and priest who offered comfort to the sufferers were barely noticed in the commotion of the dead and dying around them.

And what's a little blood loss between friends, eh? *eg*

I liked this one, Wolf. Pheral's right, it did have a good atmosphere. Rather... haunting. Mmmmmm. :)

Funny, I thought it a little weak. Did give me the excuse the google historical info, which is always good.

How could Spike, Dru and all the other beasties resist such a treat? Way too tempting.

Very nice! Nothing better than a war when a vampire is peckish!

A war with an influenza pandemic thrown on top would be a vampire's dream come true.

More people died from influenza that were killed in World War I and, oddly enough, it was people between 20 and 40 who it targetted rather than the usual young and elderly. Google is my friend.
