Enigma

EnigmaDawn rubbed the bridge of her nose, trying to refocus her eyes. She researched the care and feeding of demons on a daily basis; she wouldn't have thought an essay on the Enigma machine would have been so difficult.

"Let's take a gander, love." Spike read the monitor as her massaged the tension from her shoulders. "Ah... history, I might be able to help. Did I ever tell you Angel was a spook during the war?"

"Really?" Dawn was intrigued, but if she was being honest she was happy for the distraction. "Tell me."

"Well, he still had stupid hair."

Run-on sentence. Separate the two independent clauses with a semi-colon, not a comma.

Other than that, very cute! (And very Spike. *grin*)

Run-on sentence — Thanks, fixed it.

Pleased you enjoyed the Spawnage.

Ah, but Spike was just as much of a "spook" as Angel was! Equally as unwillingly, too. Bet he didn't tell Dawn that part of it. ::cackles in glee::

You know, that was one of my favorite episode of AS5. :P

Spike has always been selective about what he tells people of his past. And Spike wasn't a spy in that episode, he just ate a German officer and liked the uniform.

Ha! You made me laugh. Now I can go to bed happy, late, but happy. He *does* have stupid hair. ;-))

You made me laugh

Well, my work here is done. And he really does have stupid hair and it just got weirder in flashbacks. Maybe that means he's improving with time.

~~"Well, he still had stupid hair."~~

*rolls my eyes* Nice. Was he made fun of in scripts for that, or is it strictly a fandom complaint?

The stupid hair actually came from the scripts. Angel is very into the whole male grooming thing.

Hmm. Either way, I'm not too sure that Spike is one to talk. I've seen David on TV a few times, and James through your (and everyone else's) icons (which I'm getting jealous of, lol; I don't know how to make a decent one), and, from what I've seen, Spike's the one with the dumb hair. :-D

What do you want on an icon? Send me images, URLs, text, whatever and I'll make one.

You serious? You'd actually do that?

Sure. What do you want done?

Gosh. I was not expecting that. Thanks for the offer. I'd have replied sooner, but I was...pretty taken aback by it/stumped as to what I'd like.

As far as images go, I'm afraid that I can't really think of anything (sorry if that makes it difficult. I went through all of the images I have stashed, and nothing really jumped out at me. I guess anything that'd relate to the text would work.

Speaking of which, the only thing I can really think of text-wise is To The Moon And Back, since it's my favorite song, and one I've always been able to relate to. So anything from those lyrics would be cool.

Hmm... Was quite having fun playing with them, but not sure I like them now. May have to up the res to stop them looking a bit crunchy. Changes, comments, whatever, etc...

Oh...my God. They look great! Especially the gray one. :-D That's actually my favorite line from the lyrics. Thanks very much! *hugz* Don't worry about giving credit; I'm a real stickler for things like that, so you'll be credited for damn sure. Thanks again!

I liked the grey one best too, but I like the way the watermarky thing (note the technical jargon) shows up in the red ones. Any changes you want, let me know.

When I get my finger out I'll add them on my deviantart account, which is where all the icons live.

Yeah, it does stand out quite a bit more; I noticed that, myself, when I was setting them up in my journal.

~~Any changes you want, let me know.~~
Nah; they're great as they are; thanks again!
