Anticipation

AnticipationDrusilla sat on a bench, moonlight reflecting on the lake surface, as she stroked the large wolf. Clever fingers worked into the thick fur, finding the perfect scratching spots, while she bemoaned the privation of her hunger.

An occasional jogger passed them by, not noticing the pale woman and her large canine companion.

The wolf scented the air, a lone predator catching her attention, a young man waiting in the dark for a victim to pass.

"He is a catch, isn't he, Puppy." Drusilla unclipped the wolf's leash. "A nasty, little man who wants to inflict himself on others. Yummy!"

Puppy has very large teeth, I foresee a brief and bloody future for the man in the shrubery.

It's warming up now! I wonder why Puppy's only going after people who deserve to be eaten?

Couldn't you cheat and do more words? ;0)

There is a reason why Puppy is choosing Drusilla's next meal. Rather than reveal it, you could read back through previous Wolf stories, or wait until it turns up later in this piece.

By the rules of the challenges I accept, a drabble is exactly 100 words. I'll just have to write more drabbles.

Yes please, I'd like that! ;0)

The curiosity is killing me! I may have to go through the old puppy stories. I don't remember why puppy only kills "nasty" men.

I think there's only one on LJ that hints at the reasoning behind Puppy's insistence on only allowing Drusila to play with the bad men. There are five much older stories on my site that give the game away, or you could hang around and wait for Park!verse to play out.
