Dissipativity

Faith watched Xander's class, her legs splayed across an observation room chair. "Don't turn your back, you idiot." She snorted in frustration as a tall girl in a purple leotard switched Xander's gear.

"Should we step in before he gets hurt?" Sholeh asked quietly.

"Wait." Faith held up a hand as Xander donned his protective gear prior to a sparring session. "He hasn't noticed. Let's go."

They entered the training room as the girl laid Xander out. "Want to try that again?"

As the girl squared off with Faith, Sholeh wondered if the trainee had exhausted her supply of stupid.

No matter what kind of school it is, some students never change.

True. There's always at least one that would be better served by a well-timed shove into the path of an approaching train.

And don't think I haven't considered that with my rookie firefighter groups. Only with them it's an approaching fire truck.

Somehow it wouldn't be Faith if she'd stepped in before he got floored.
