Dominion

"You're back early." Spike stifled a yawn as Dawn elbowed the door closed. "I thought Buffy had a credit card to break in."

"Sorry to wake you." Dawn kissed Spike before depositing her shopping bags on the dining table. "I've wrangled Buffy for years. It just takes a well-placed comment about a sale to steer her in the right direction. Nobody gets between Buffy and the possibility of discount shoes."

"Giles would call that an abuse of Slayer skills." Spike wrapped his arms around Dawn, kissing her neck. "I reckon it's proof who got the brains in your family."

mwah, even slayers fall victim to the therapy of shopping and shiny things, eh?

I wouldn't say it was therapy, more a way of life rudely interupted by other things.

Well, what's the point of being a slayer if you can't occasionally help out the family?

It's not so much intentional assistance as knowing which buttons to push to get your loved ones to do your bidding.
