Latency

Wrapped in her heavy coat, Rose shivered and huddled closer to the Doctor as they made their unsteady way back to the TARDIS.

"Wasn't Jack with us at the last pub?"

"He wandered off with that couple he was chatting up."

The Doctor frowned. "But she was straight and he was gay."

"He did mention something about broadening their horizons," Rose laughed.

With a sigh, the Doctor unlocked the TARDIS. "It seems we're always waiting while he's getting his leg over."

Rose shrugged out of her coat and shook the snow from her hair. "We could always follow his example."

What? Broadening their own horizons or shagging the locals?

I've seen it, so I know what happens. Telling you more would depend on how much you like spoilers.

Poor Rose ... *sob*
Not a spoiler fan, no. But I'd already gotten the biggest spoiler of all, by seeing it in TV Guide. I need to learn to not read the articles until *after* that week is up.

Lol, flirty jack. Mmmm. Although, shouldn't this: "But she was straight and he was gay." be the other way around for the joke to work? Or have i missed the point completely? (highly likely)

the other way around for the joke to work

Nope, my muse was quite adamant about this. While they may be quite happy to bed Jack on a one-to-one basis, it's the only way they'd end up in bed together.
